Cavs Center Stage in Possible Trade Involving Kris Humphries

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers are at the center of a deal which could swing the balance of power in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

Fox 8′s John Telich has learned through a source close to the Cavaliers organization that a rumored Dwight Howard to Brooklyn trade will likely involve the Cavs absorbing Nets forward Kris Humphries for the 2012 – 2013 season.

However, the Cavs are believed to be seeking a first round draft pick as well, and only interested in taking on Humphries if the future draft pick (presumably via Orlando) is included.

Any potential trade for Howard from Orlando to Brooklyn (formerly New Jersey) will require a third team, and again, as it stands Sunday night, a source inside the Cavaliers organization has told Fox 8′s John Telich that the Cavs are that team.
