Golden Flashes Join the Fox 8 Morning Crew

Fox 8 News in the Morning welcomed two members of the Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team to the set on Wednesday to talk about their historic season.

Joe Koch, who was a senior, and Evan Campbell, a junior, talked about being the first Kent State team to advance to the College World Series.

The team is also the first in the Mid-American Conference to advance that far in nearly three decades.

Other achievements included winning 21 straight games and eliminating the number-one seeded Florida Gators.

After discussing the thrill of the entire CWS experience and the future of the team, Fox 8 News had some new challenges for the athletes.

The guys took control in the chromakey and delivered the weather forecast on live television.

They also showed their skills during the Wiffle Ball Challenge!

Finally, Joe and Evan selected a starting lineup made from a roster of Fox 8 personalities.
