NEW YORK (WABC / CNN) — Some junior high school students from Brooklyn are being accused of throwing trash into one of the reflecting pools outside of the World Trade Center Museum.

They were on a field trip last week before graduation.

Museum officials threw the group out.

The school’s principal has sent a letter apologizing to the memorial and museum.

She said the students identified will be disciplined.
