LOWELL, Massachusetts — Police have charged a man with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for allegedly throwing french fries at his step-daughter.

According to a LowellSun.com report, the 26-year-old man was arraigned in court on Monday morning on the charge following his arrest on Friday.

The report states that police received a call Friday evening alleging the man had assaulted his 11-year-old step-daughter.

Upon investigating the incident police determined the man, his wife and step-daughter had just left a McDonald’s when the adults began arguing in their car.

The stepdaughter, according to police, chimed in from the back seat and the man allegedly threw hot french fries in her face. Police say the girl suffered no injuries.
