Cleveland Police Investigate Triple Shooting

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a triple shooting on the city’s east side.

Sgt. Sammy Morris tells Fox 8 News that officers were called to the 7400 block of Spafford Road, just before 5 p.m. Once there, they found two males and a female with gunshot wounds.

Cleveland EMS took the three victims to MetroHealth Medical Center, where their conditions are unknown.

According to Morris, a preliminary investigation revealed that two males in a silver minivan drove down Spafford Road and shot the victims. The suspects then drove off, and were last seen heading southbound on Jones Avenue.

A police officer at the scene told Fox 8 News that four assault weapons and a handgun were removed from a home near the shooting.

Officers are currently searching the area for the suspects.
