STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — A car crashed into the Strongsville City Hall Wednesday night, straight into council chambers, Fox 8 News reports.

Strongsville police said it happened just after 8 p.m. when an unidentified driver drove into the building near Royalton and Pearl roads. The vehicle came to a stop in an unoccupied courtroom. Police were not immediately sure what caused the crash.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Southwest General Health Center for treatment. No one else was injured.

The building sustained extensive damage, although specifics were not released. Crews were assessing the safety of the structure Wednesday night, but Strongsville police said court is open on Thursday.
