School Board Extends CEO Eric Gordan’s Contract

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Metropolitan School District CEO Eric Gordon will be sticking around for at least another three years.

The school board voted to extend Gordon’s contract by three years after fulfilling the one-year requirement of his first contract with the district last year. Gordon currently makes 16 percent less than the previous CEO, but has volunteered to decrease his salary from $230,000 to just shy of $228,000.

Gordon’s future with the district was supposed to be decided later this month, but the board made the decision early.
