First Energy Trying to Restore Power, Residents Begin Storm Clean-Up
NORWALK, Ohio — A powerful storm cell blew through the Fox 8 viewing area on Monday afternoon leaving much damage in the western counties.
Officials in Norwalk tell Fox 8 News that virtually all police and fire are responding to areas where wind and heavy rain damage has occurred.
SkyFOX was above the city early Monday evening and captured significant damage at a property along Rule Street. A large tree was pushed over by heavy winds and ended up crushing a portion of the home on the property
SkyFOX also captured damage along East Main Street, where trees were downed. Along Pine and Woodlawn, in addition to trees, power lines were knocked to the ground.

At the peak of the storm around 7,400 homes were without power in northeast Ohio. Those numbers have reduced as First Energy workers restore power in Erie, Huron and Cuyahoga County.
