CLEVELAND, Ohio – Spend the day with the entire family learning about the our planet’s vast bodies of water.  The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is celebrating World Oceans Day Saturday June 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a variety of activities.

“Our oceans cover 70% of the earth’s surface, and they serve as a resource for food, transportation, recreation, natural resources, climate control and even biomedical advances,” says Tami Brown, General Manager. “The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is proud to present the amazing ocean creatures in our collection year-round, and to celebrate the importance of oceans with the rest of the world on this special day.”

For the regular price of admission you’ll not only be able to explore the Aquarium’s regular attractions, you can also enjoy face painting, art projects, educational activities, a scavenger hunt and lectures. Greater Cleveland Aquarium is located at 2000 Sycamore Street.
