Horseshoe Casino Hits the Jackpot with Opening Sales
CLEVELAND, Ohio — After months of anticipation, the Horseshoe Casino opened Monday night, and the results are in: Cleveland’s economy won big.
About 15,000 people were admitted to the casino on it first full day of operations Tuesday. That’s in addition to the estimated 11,000 people who attended its Monday night opening, officials said.
And that’s not all.
A spokesperson for Rock Gaming LLC said approximately 8,000 people signed up for new Total Rewards cards, giving them access to free parking and other exclusive offers at all other Caesars Entertainment casinos around the world.
According to Bravo Poker Live, Horseshoe Cleveland had the 2nd-busiest poker room in the country Tuesday night, finishing second to a 160-table room in L.A. Cleveland only has 30 tables.
The sales success continued with ferocious appetites for Cleveland-based food. The food court, which features restaurants from local chefs Michael Symon and Rocco Whalen, served 2,500 meals to hungry visitors.
