Man Charged After Maple Heights Hit-and-Run

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — An arrest has been made in a hit-an-run accident that left a juvenile seriously injured this past Sunday.

Maple Heights Police Chief Richard Maracz tells Fox 8 News that Frank Johnson Jr. 23, of Maple Heights, was recently arrested and charged in connection with the May 6, 2012 incident along Dalewood Avenue.

A juvenile was struck by a blue vehicle as he rode his bicycle and according to police sustained serious physical injuries.

Tips police received led them to a home in the 5400 block of Dalewood Avenue and a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the accident was discovered.

Johnson Jr., was later charged with stopping after and accident on a public road, a fifth degree felony.
