NE Ohio Well Represented in U.S. Army All-American Bowl Nominees

Several of North East Ohios’s finest junior football players are now in the running to earn a spot in the U.S. Army’s All American Bowl in January of 2013. The Game features some of America’s finest high school football players and has featured, among others, such NFL players as Beanie Wells, Ted Ginn Jr, Tim TeBow, Mark Sanchez and more.

On Monday these gridder from our Fox8 Friday Night Touchdown viewing area were selected as nominees.

Tra’von Chapman of Kent Roosevelt, Ben Gedeon of Hudson, Ross Douglas of Avon High, Shelton Gibson of Cleveland Heights High School. Solon’s Darian Hick was selected as was Kyle Kempt of Massillon Washington High and Marcus McWilson of Mooney. Marlington High’s Dymonte Thomas and Copleys Aregeros Turner.

Athletes nominated look forward to the next step,in September when the list is thinned. Final player selections will take place in early December of this year. Ultimately, 90 players will be chosen and invited to the Bowl.

Congrats to the young man now in the running.
