Police: Parma Road Reopens After Fatal Motorcycle Accident

PARMA, Ohio — State Road at Pershing Avenue in Parma was reopened after an investigation into a fatal accident involving a motorcycle.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Det. Marty Compton with the Parma Police Department, the motorcyclist, a 31-year-old male, was the victim.

A witness that Fox 8 News spoke to at the scene said the driver of a van cut across three lanes of traffic and tried to make a turn.

In the process, the vehicle collided with the motorcycle, the witness said.

The witness also said there was another motorcycle riding in the area, but that cyclist managed to avoid the accident.

Other details on the victim and the crash were not immediately released.
