PARMA, Ohio — The city of Parma’s Safety Forces are inviting the community to see the inner-workings of the city’s justice system and take measures to assure the safety of their loved ones at the annual Safety Fair.

The event gets underway this Saturday, April 28th, at the Parma Justice Center from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Parma Police will conduct demonstrations involving their SWAT, Bomb, K-9 and Motorcycle units.

The Parma Fire Department will also showcase the work done by the Ladder Company and demonstrate to those in attendance the correct way to extinguish grease fires in the kitchen.

Kids accompanied by their parents or grandparents will be able to get a free finger printing from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Officers and fire fighters will be conducting a free safety seat inspection for children’s car seats.

Parma residents can also have their old personal documents shredded in exchange for the donation of a canned good to the Parma Hunger Center.

Residents will be able to receive tours of the police station, holding facilities and firing range at the Justice Center.
