MENTOR, Ohio — A Lake County woman is accused of kicking police officers as she was being arrested for disorderly conduct. She now faces assault charges as well.

According to the Mentor Police Department case report, officers were dispatched to the Hooley House at 9:18 p.m. Saturday because there was an unwanted, allegedly intoxicated female patron who would not leave the bar.

Once at the scene, the officers — Brian Fekete and Michael Bruening — encountered an agitated Deanna Frey, 38, of Painesville. When they attempted to arrest her, she kicked Fekete in the shin.

Mentor Police Lt. Ken Zbiegien tells Fox 8 News that Frey remained unsettled during the booking process, kicking another officer.

She was arraigned on Monday. Her bond was set at $20,000.
