INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — The Greater Cleveland Football Coaches Association honored Fox 8’s Friday Night Touchdown team on Monday.

The crew was given the Organizational Appreciation Award for 2012.

From on-air to behind the scenes, everyone involved was recognized at an event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Independence.

Fox 8 Sports Anchor John Telich accepted the award on everyone’s behalf.

“First and foremost, we love high school football, and we hope that comes across when we’re on the air,” Telich said. “What do we have up our sleeves for this coming fall?  I dunno… maybe Kristi will parachute out of SkyFOX, perhaps?  Allie will call the plays for one of the teams in the first half?”

Friday Night Touchdown’s sixteenth season begins this August.
