Prom Queen Billboard Campaign

KILLEEN, Texas-Prom season has arrived and parents are paying more than ever to make that night extra special for their teens.

A woman in Texas is willing to spend whatever it takes for her daughter to be crowned prom queen.

Tammy Day told news station KXXV-TV she recently bought a billboard for her daughter to advertise her run for the crown.

Day said the idea started out as a joke, but then she decided to make it a reality.

Day told KXXV,“She almost cried over it, it was really overwhelming, she was very grateful.”

The determined mom didn’t stop at the billboard.

KXXV reports, Day also placed ads in newspapers and local restaurants.

So far, she has spent over $1,500 on advertisements.
