STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -  A wayward driver is dead, after crashing into a gas station.

The accident happened at the B-P gas station at State Route 82 and Howe Road in Strongsville, Friday afternoon.

Harb Harb, 68, of Strongsville, was killed.

Witnesses tell police Harb was traveling westbound on Rt. 82, and for some unknown reason, crossed the eastbound lanes and jumped a curb, before crashing into several cars and the gasoline pumps.

BP customer Bret Babbits, who was getting gas on Saturday, found the details of the accident to be a very scary situation.

"I  can't imagine," said Babbits. "You're pumping gas and a couple minutes later, somebody smashes into something right next to you.  That would be horrible."

James Conny of Brunswick was amazed that no one else was injured.

"It had to be a blessing that nobody was hurt," Conny said. "You got the gas out here.  It could have exploded.  You know, hurt everybody here getting gas. Maybe even blown up the station."

The BP station remained closed for several hours after the accident.  It re-opened Saturday without the use of the two gasoline pumps that were damaged.
