Semi Truck Spills 300 Gallons of Fuel at Gas Station

NORTHFIELD, Ohio — A fuel truck malfunction caused a massive spill at a local gas station Friday afternoon.

Northfield police said it happened at the Sunoco on Northfield Road, off of State Route 8. A semi truck dumped about 300 gallons of fuel when it was filling up tanks, but officials weren’t immediately sure what went wrong.

The Environmental Protection Agency was called to the scene, where it was determined there was no danger to the community. No one was hurt.

The incident is being investigated.
