The meeting was pleasant and productive, sources told CNN Chief National Political Correspondent John King, and took place ahead of the state’s primary.

Former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania won the contest, with nearly 50% of the vote. Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, scored 27%, and Gingrich, the former House speaker, finished with 16%.
