CLEVELAND, Ohio — The new-look Cleveland Cavaliers returned to the court Sunday for the first time since trading away Ramon Sessions … and they missed him big time.
Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks visited the Q for a rare Sunday afternoon affair. The All-Star led all scorers with 28, as the Hawks jumped out to 14-point halftime lead.
Kyrie Irving did his best to keep it close. The rookie star finished with 19 points and 10 assists. But the comeback fell short as the Cavs shot just 39-percent for the game. Hawks won 103-87.
The Cavs play in New Jersey Monday night.
