Police: Man’s Body Found in Burning Car

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Homicide detectives are investigating after a man’s body was found in a burning car early Saturday morning.

Cleveland police said at approximately 4 a.m., fire crews were called to the 6900 block of Bayliss Avenue for a car on fire. Once they put the flames out, firefighters saw a body in the back seat and called for police.

Officers responded and determined that the man was dead. The car was then towed to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.

Police said the deceased man has not yet been identified as his body was badly burned.

Arson investigators with the Cleveland Fire Department are assisting with the investigation.
