Cuyahoga Falls High School
You can describe Cuyahoga Falls High School’s using the three “F’s”–friendship, family and fun! One step inside this high school and you understand why Cuyahoga Falls is a Cool School!
When the bell rings at Cuyahoga Falls High School, it’s time for fun.
“We have just a bunch of students all willing to learn and excited about school,” said Senior Erin Wilson.
“Everyone has their own opportunity to discover who they are,” added Junior Andrew Appleby.
Sure they have their math, english and science classes, but they also have unique marketing classes like One Stop Prom Shop.
“We formed this idea to provide teens to come for their prom shop needs,” said Senior Nick Hall. “We had formal dress shops, tuxedo rentals, limousine services and restaurants.”
These students are learning from a young, energetic staff.
“We have a lot of young teachers here, they are just big kids, just a little bit grown up than us,” Senior Craig Fishel said.
Their success goes beyond the classroom. This past year, the Tigers had four members of their swim team participate in the state tournament, including a freshman and sophomore.
“We have a very diverse athletics program, like there is a sport here for everyone and there is kind of a niche for everyone to fall into. We have great coaches here who really care about the kids and the care about the success of the kids,” said Appleby.
And if you’re not into sports, you can always be a part of the superfan group.
“We always dress up, we always make signs, we try to be as loud as possible, always supporting Falls Tigers,” super fan leader Franklin Ziccardi said.
“Our football team was 1-9 but even if we don’t win we have a good time, we support our team and show we have spirit,” Chris Petrof said.
Talk about a cool school, what’s cooler than students dancing at lunch time, that’s what they do at Cuyahoga Falls.
“I think the kids really like it because it’s a good time for them as well as us,” said Senior cheerleader, Hailee Hortsman.
Cuyahoga Falls High School is more than just a learning institution,it’s a family.
“On any occasion, good or bad, we come together and it definitely makes it a great place to learn and to build friendships,” said Hall.
This school is the ‘Eye of the Tiger’, the pride of it all. All of the fun is just a bell ring away.
