Car Crashes Into Home; Driver Had Been Shot in Head

CLEVELAND — After a vehicle crashed into a home early Wednesday morning on Cleveland’s west side, authorities discovered that the driver had been shot in the head, Fox 8 News reports.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:05 a.m. on West 98th Street.

Officers found the 29-year-old driver with a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency medical services pronounced the unresponsive victim dead at the scene.

Sgt. Sammy Morris tells Fox 8 News that a preliminary investigation has revealed that three men were observed running away from the vehicle after the accident.

The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate.
