OXNARD, Calif. -- A teacher at a California junior high school is on paid administrative leave after allegations surfaced that she appeared in an Internet porn video.

School officials say the video did not involve any students and was not filmed on school property.

The investigation started last week after rumors started circulating around school.

"A lot of the kids are hurt because I guess this teacher was a very good teacher, but that now she's doing these things," parent Olga Cervantes said.

"There is evidence and allegations that somebody was in a pornographic video," Oxnard School District Superintendent Jeff Chancer said. "Can we 100 percent identify the teacher at this point? ... We can't do that just yet. We're still in the investigation process.

"It's hardcore pornography."

The teacher is not accused of any crimes.

Chancer says there's no moral turpitude clause in the teacher's contract.

The school board was expected to meet on the issue.

The district says in order to punish her, it would likely have to prove her private life was affecting classroom learning.
