EUCLID, Ohio — Authorities blocked off part of a highly traveled road Thursday morning because of downed utility poles, Fox 8 News reports.

According to a Wickliffe police dispatcher, the downed poles were just across the border in Euclid on Lakeland Boulevard near East 276th Street. They went down at approximately 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Wickliffe Police Department had westbound lanes of Lakeland closed at Lloyd Road for most of the morning.

Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. crews worked to clear the scene before noon.

Officials could not yet say with complete certitude that strong winds caused the poles to go down.
