Ballot Breakdown: School Bond Issues

In Cuyahoga County, seven school bond issues are on the 2012 primary election ballot. See below for a breakdown of the tax levies that will appear on the ballot.

  • Berea City School District: 

An additional tax for the benefit of the Berea City School District to add to the current school levy at a rate of 39 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, preventing further cuts and paying for expenses in the future.

  • Chagrin Falls Exempted Village School District:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Chagrin Falls Exempted Village School District to add to the current school levy at a rate of 79 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property, paying for future operating expenses.

  • Cuyahoga Heights Local School District:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Cuyahoga Heights Local School District to add to the current school levy at a rate of 79 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, paying for school expenses in the future.

  • Garfield Heights City School District:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Garfield Heights School District to add to the current school levy at a rate of 94 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, paying for emergency requirements needed in the district.

  • Mayfield City School District:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Mayfield City School District to add to the current school levy at a rate of 59 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, paying for future operating expenses.

  • Parma City School District:

A renewal for the existing school levy for the benefit of the Parma City School District at a rate of 38 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, paying for emergency requirements in the district for the next five years.

  • Rocky River City School District:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Rocky River City School District to add to the current school levy at a rate of 59 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, avoiding budget cuts and paying for future expenses.

  • Strongsville City School District:

A renewal for the existing school levy for the benefit of the Strongsville City School District at a rate of 60 cents per 100 dollars of assessed property value, paying for future expenses.
