Gas Leak Forces Preschool Evacuation

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Children have been evacuated from a child care center in Garfield Heights due to a natural gas leak, Fox 8 News reports.

The kids were taken from the Creative Early Learning Center preschool on Transportation Boulevard to a nearby firehouse.

Dominion East Ohio spokesperson Tracy Oliver tells Fox 8 News that investigating crews have determined the problem is with an intermediate-pressure line.

Oliver says that the excavation process has already begun, with repairs soon to follow. As many as six commercial buildings were evacuated.
