CHARDON, Ohio --
He was the boy next door who was always there for his friends.
"My brother was the happiest kid in the world," recalled Dominic Parmertor. "When other people were happy, he was happy."
Danny Parmertor, 16, was the first victim of the Chardon shootings to die on Monday.
"We've received so many phone calls from places as far away as South America and Spain," says Ron Parmertor, Danny's uncle. "And the only thing we've told them is just send our family and the other families prayers."
Danny's grandfather, Domenick Iammarino, said it helps the family to talk about Danny.
"Danny's mom and dad felt when they spoke about him, it made them feel a lot better," he says, "and I feel that's the same reason for us to be here, too."
Danny's brother says he was going to change the world.
"He was an amazing individual," Dominic says.
