VENANGO COUNTY, Pennsylvania —

At least three people were killed in a series of car crashes on I-80 Saturday.

More than 20 vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crashes on the turnpike, heading into Pennsylvania.

More than a dozen people were injured, and emergency crews struggled to reach some of the cars.

A nearby fire station took stranded travelers to their fire hall to stay warm.

A ten mile stretch of the interstate had to be closed down. It stayed closed until about 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
