Thieves Steal Man’s Prosthetic Leg
A thief driving an older model red sport coup stole a bright yellow duffel bag from the driveway.
Wayne Mosely says, “I had left one of the bags out by the car because we couldn’t carry everything in. When I walked back out the bag was gone. It was a total of two minutes. That was it.”
Jenny Daffern saw the suspicious car drive off.
The couple attempted to chase after the car with no luck.
Mosely is an amputee who lost his leg in a motorcycle accident seven years ago.
He is a retired Yukon Fire Department firefighter.
The prosthetic stolen was a running leg with a specialized paint job.
It was created by well-known prosthetist, Scott Sabolich.
Mosely says, “The artwork on it was ghost flames and it had a 24k gold leaf “S” which is Sabolich’s emblem. There are only two of those in the whole world.”
Mosely says the thief can keep everything in the bag, except he’d like the $40,000 prosthetic leg back.
