Man, 41, Dies in Head-On Collision with Truck

PARIS TWP., Ohio—  A man was killed in a head-on collision when a pickup truck trying to pass another vehicle entered his lane.

The accident happened on State Route 183 (Union Avenue) at Marvindale Street in Paris Twp., Stark County around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, James Wriston, Jr., 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

A Dodge Ram driven by a 23-year-old male went left of center in order to pass another vehicle when it collided with the Chevrolet Monte Carlo that Wriston was driving.

Two people in the truck and a passenger in the car were also injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was investigating the incident and said it is not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
