The need is great and Fox 8 News is once again asking for your help to make sure children in need have a Christmas. Without your help some children will not receive a present for Christmas.

Our big event is Friday, Nov. 25, the day after Thanksgiving, between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

We will be in our front yard at 5800 South Marginal Rd… or better yet, Dick Goddard Way, as you stop by to drop off your unwrapped gift.

Here is a list of those that need gifts and the items we need.

There are more than 762 teenagers, 14- through 18-years-old, 324 children between the ages of 13 and 9, 205 kids between 8 and 6, 593 between 5 and 1 and 132 children under a year old.

Here is a list of gifts to bring…

For the little ones, dolls, games, action figures, cars and trucks.

For the older children, electronics, bath and body products, MP3 players, sporting equipment and gift cards of $25 which can be used for school clothes.

All gifts must be new and unwrapped so the gifts can be sorted to meet the need of the child.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing you on Nov. 25.

Operation Giving Tree is sponsored by Tim Lally Chevrolet.
